Family

We both come from large families and grew up in Arizona; each of us has two brothers and three sisters.

Patrick is the youngest in his family. He became an uncle in high school and loves to play with his nieces and nephews. His sisters live in Arizona, he has one brother in Idaho, and one brother in the Czech Republic. All of his siblings have children.

Patrick's favorite holiday is Christmas because everyone is able to spend time together. With all of his siblings, nieces, and nephews it makes for a fun and exciting time.

Patrick is close to his parents and spends time talking to them often.  Additionally, Patrick grew up in the same neighborhood with many of his cousins. Both his parents come from large families and he has numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. He enjoyed growing up near family and continues his friendship with them.

Heather is third in her family; she has two older brothers and three younger sisters. Her oldest brother lives in Utah . Her next brother lives in Sierra Vista, Arizona and we have enjoyed visiting him and having him come visit. Two of her sisters live in Arizona close by and her youngest sister is in Kentucky on a mission. Her siblings are her best friends and she has a very close relationship with all of them.

Heather's parents are amazing and supportive. They have always been very involved in her life and she loves talking and spending time with them.

 

Also, Heather has many aunts, uncles, and grandparents who she loves spending time with and seeing. She has been able to develop very close relationships with her family and love getting together with everyone as often as she can.

Family is very important to us. We cherish the relationships that we have with our family and will continue those with our children. Our family looks forward to spoiling another grandchild and our nieces and nephews are excited for a new playmate.

Together Time

We enjoy being together. Each of us has many interests and hobbies. We share in these hobbies so we can spend more time together.
We all love the outdoors. Patrick's favorite thing to do is go camping. Heather loves to make the boys go hiking too. Hunter and Cameron love anything that gets them outside even if it is just throwing rocks (which happens to be one of their favorites).

 

 

One of Patrick's favorite outdoor sports is snowboarding. Patrick taught Heather how to snowboard a few years ago. Patrick was such a patient teacher and he cannot wait to teach our kids how to snowboard too. We loved taking Hunter and Cameron to play in the snow this winter.

 Both of us enjoy playing sports. Growing up Patrick played baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Heather did dance, cheerleading, softball, and swimming. Now we love to go to the golf driving range, riding ATV's, or going on long bike rides together. Patrick likes to golf and play basketball (he is already teaching the boys) and Heather enjoys running (has completed a few half-marathons) and kickboxing. We love being active and getting to know others through sports and want to share this with our children.

Travelling is another hobby that we have. We have been to many places in the world and across the US. We love packing our stuff and taking off to new and exciting destinations. Some of our favorite memories as children were on family vacations and we plan on taking family trips often.

 

One of Heather's favorite hobbies is reading. She enjoys learning and exploring new ideas through books. Patrick and Heather love reading books together and reading books to our boys.  Hunter and Cameron are both little book worms and are always wanting to read more and more books. Both Patrick and Heather have worked hard to put themselves through college. We value education and hope to pass the joy of learning on to our children.

We also love and appreciate music. In high school we loved going to concerts together.  Our boys love music and we are always having dance parties. 

Heather is also artistic and draws, knits, sews, and crochets. Heather has enjoyed sharing this love of art with our boys already even if it is walking around an art gallery pointing out the animals in the pictures or teaching them the basics of finger painting.  Painting, drawing, and coloring are things the boys are always wanting to do.

We enjoy cooking and baking together; having fun together in the kitchen is a must. Our favorite part is enjoying our culinary creations.

 

We like to get out as a family and find fun things close to home to do. We visit the park, library, museums, and zoo. Our boys are very interested in animals and gets so excited about the new places. We are always on the go finding something new.

  

While we enjoy all of these different activities, sometimes it is wonderful to stay home and having fun as a family playing games, building forts, watching movies, discovering toys, and relaxing together. We love being a family and spending time together. We hope to share these hobbies and interests with our children and give them an opportunity to discover their own talents
